Consulting Services

As a disability civic engagement subject matter expert, I am available for a variety of services including research and project support, consulting, training, and speaking engagements. Read on to learn more about my services and offerings. Interested in working with me? Contact me here.

  • As an experienced disability civic engagement researcher, I can support your organization’s work to understand and engage the 1 in 4 voting-age U.S. adults with a disability.

With nearly a decade of intense focus and experience on U.S. voting policy and barriers to voting, I can provide custom support to help your organization thoroughly understand and address the barriers to civic engagement for millions of Americans. Whether you’re researching and addressing accessibility barriers to civic engagement, working to improve the voting process for marginalized voters, or advocating for voting policy changes at any level of government, I will bring my expertise, high standards, and attention to detail that will help your organization achieve its goals.

  • Do you want to reach out to the disability community but you don’t know where to start? Here’s a hint: disabled people are already in your organization’s audience, and I can help you reach them, understand their needs and priorities, and build meaningful coalitions with disability organizers and organizations.

Throughout my career, I have built lasting coalitions between disability and civil rights groups, from standing up and facilitating the National Coalition for Accessible Voting in 2020 to building a lasting working partnership between the Carter Center and Detroit Disability Power as they address polling place accessibility.

I know how to reach the disability community, make your communications accessible, and build fruitful and beneficial relationships that will create a bridge between your organization, your partners, and your communities.

  • Accessibility is a journey, not a destination. Every organization and group, no matter the size or budget, can work to improve their accessibility to and inclusion of the disability community.

I can work with your specific concerns, resource constraints, and needs to design a training that meets your organization or group’s needs, no matter the size or the budget. If you’re looking for internalized support to improve disability inclusion, reach out for customized consulting that meets your organization’s needs.

Whether you want to improve the accessibility and language of your communications, plan accessible events, understand disability-inclusive voting policies, or just learn the basics of disability inclusion, I’m here to support your learning journey with empathy and expertise.

  • Whether you’re looking for a disability subject matter expert to speak to your group or weigh in on disability civic engagement, I am available for writing opportunities and speaking engagements.

I have spoken on stages large and small, for panels and conferences, virtual and in-person. My words have been published in Teen Vogue, Disability Visibility Project, and Huffington Post. Head over to My Work to view my media, presentations, and panels.
